- The first Iinternational Conference on bio-deterioration of Cultural Property was held at National Research Laboratory for Conservation of cultural property (NRLC) Lucknow, India from 20th to 25th Feb, 1989.
- Second International Conference was held at Pacific Convention Plaza, Pacifico Yokahama, Japan from 5th to 8th October, 1992. The conference was supported by agency for cultural affairs, Tokyo national research institute of insect damage to cultural properties, Nara National Research Institute of Cultural properties, Japan council of art museum, Japan association of monuments.
- The third International conference was held Bangkok, Thailand from 4th to 7th July 1995.
- The fourth International Conference was held at Research Centre for Cultural relics Tehran (RCCS), IRAN from 21 to 25th Nov 1998.
- The first National seminars on Biodeterioration of Cultural Heritage was held at National Museum Institute for Museology, Art History and Conservation (NMI), New Delhi on April 19th – 20th , 2000. The INTACH Indian Council of Conservation Institute Lucknow and the National Museum New Delhi supported the seminar.
- The second National seminar was held at Defense Research and Development Organization, (DRDO) on Kanpur, Feb, 17th-18th, 2001 on biodeterioration of materials.
- In this program late Dr. Shashi Dhawan delivered lecture on biodeterioration of cultural heritage in Isabella Thoburn college, Lucknow for B.Sc. Student under 125th years celebration of IT college on 12th march 2011.
- Workshop on preventive and control of Biodeterioration of Manuscripts was organized on 20th-25th November, 2011 in Lucknow.
- 7th International Conference on “Biodeterioration of Cultural Property” on 16-18, Feb, 2013 organized by I.C.B.C.P, Lucknow in collaboration with the Department of Museology, AMU, Aligarh.
- Workshop on Biodeterioration of Cultural Property on 27-28 February, 2014 in the Department of Ancient Indian History & Archeology, Lucknow University Lucknow.
- Padmashri O.P Agrawal Memorial Lecture Delivered by prof. Arun Arya in the Department of Museology on 07/02/2022 in collaboration with ICOM INDIA.
- Dr. Shashi Dhawan Memorial lecture held in the Department of Museology, A.M.U Aligarh on 15/05/2022, in collaboration with ICOM INDIA on the occasion of International Museum Day.
- Padmashri O.P Agrawal Memorial Lecture and Book release function were held on his memory organized in N.R.L.C, Lucknow on 17/08/2023
- ICBCP Session was held in two days conference on “Impact of Human activities on Ecosystem” during 28-29th January 2024, organizing by Department of Environment studies, M.S University Baroda at Khajuraho.
